Benoît Turcotte
I have been working in the field of counseling for over 20 years. Since 2015, I have held a license issued by the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. For 17 years, I worked in provincial and federal correctional facilities, assisting inmates with their social reintegration through correctional programs tailored to their needs. Since 2015, I have been working full-time as a psychotherapist. My clinical approach integrates both cognitive-behavioural and humanistic-existential therapies. I completed my studies at the Université de Montréal and the Université de Sherbrooke, earning a specialized graduate diploma in addiction and a master's degree in addiction intervention from the Faculty of Medicine at UdeS.
I am a compassionate listener who empathizes with my clients and takes the time to establish a strong therapeutic alliance. My focus is on the well-being of the individual, using concrete objectives to address their current difficulties. I specialize in issues related to substance abuse (drugs, alcohol, gambling).
