Michael Naoufal
​Michael is currently a PhD student in the School/Applied Child Psychology program at McGill University. He obtained his Master’s degree from the same program in 2023. For his doctoral dissertation, he is developing a brief and targeted intervention aimed at promoting and increasing parental self-efficacy. Through this intervention, Michael hopes to help parents gain confidence in their abilities and strengthen children and families’ well-being. At the end of his studies, Michael will become a licensed school psychologist, working with youth in both schools and clinical settings.
Michael has many years of experience working with children in a variety of research, educational, and clinical settings. Specifically, Michael has worked as an educator for the Centre de Services Scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys, as a research coordinator at McGill University, and as a coordinator for a summer day camp. Michael also has experience working in private practice conducting psychological and psychoeducation assessments with children facing a variety of presenting problems including anxiety, attention difficulties, behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorder.
