Dr. Naomi Azar

Naomi received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University in 2024. She specializes in offering individual therapy to adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, perfectionism, academic stressors, depression, emotion regulation problems, and body image concerns. She also works with parents to help them with behaviour management, communication, and emotional validation. She provides services in French and in English.

Naomi’s predoctoral residency in Winnipeg, Manitoba was accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). She also trained at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal Children’s Hospital, and the Herzl Family Practice Centre. Throughout her training, Naomi has developed expertise in individual therapy, group therapy, family-based interventions, and psychological assessment.

Naomi’s approach is integrative, client-centered, and trauma-informed. Her work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and informed by mindfulness and family systems theory. She supports her clients in exploring their past and current experiences as well as patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in order to find the skills and strategies that work for them. She views her role as a therapist as helping her clients get back to the life they want to live.
