Subitha holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and is an active member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. In addition to her work supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, and crisis situations, she has expanded her practice to include couples counselling. Subitha is passionate about helping partners navigate communication challenges, rebuild trust, and strengthen their emotional connection.

Her warm and compassionate approach fosters an inclusive, non-judgmental space where both individuals and couples feel safe exploring the issues they face. Drawing from cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic, and emotionally focused therapy principles, she tailors her work to meet each client’s needs. Subitha believes in a strengths-based approach, empowering clients and couples to set realistic goals, develop healthier patterns, and create lasting change in their relationships.

For the past 13 years, Subitha has been an active advocate within her native Tamil community. Witnessing the profound impact of limited mental health services inspired her to pursue a career as a therapist. Her lived experience and deep cultural awareness inform her commitment to providing culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care to people from diverse backgrounds.
