
Dr. Elizabeth Dutemple, PhD
​Elizabeth Dutemple is a clinical psychologist who graduated from Concordia University in 2025. She offers individual therapy in English and French for children, adolescents, and young adults suffering with various concerns including but not limited to generalized anxiety, social anxiety, depression, phobias, school/family stressors, perfectionism, peer relation issues, self-esteem, childhood trauma, suicidal ideation, and emotion regulation. Elizabeth tailors her approach to each client using a wide range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavior therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma- and culturally-informed approaches. She also loves to accompany her clients in their journey of self-definition by exploring their values and life goals, whether they be short- or long-termed. Whenever possible (and desired), Elizabeth includes families in their children’s treatment to encourage healthy communication, emotional validation, and provide guidance when indicated. Elizabeth also conducts psychological and psycho-educational assessments for problems related to learning disabilities, attention, mood disorders, and behavioral disorders. Elizabeth’s priority is that her clients feel seen and safe to explore their inner worlds and work through their deepest concerns.

Elizabeth completed practica in many clinical settings, including the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Herzl Family Practice Centre, and Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services Centre. She therefore has significant experience working with the LGBTQ, second-generation immigrant, and indigenous Mohawk populations. She is known to use metaphors, humor, book quotes, and music lyrics in session to link client’s experiences with universal concepts and truths.
