Maya Divangahi

Maya is a Masters student in School and Applied Child Psychology at McGill University. Her research interests revolve around child maltreatment and parenting programs in the context of child protective services. Currently, she is examining if profiles of maltreated children moderate the association between receiving parenting programs and CPS case closure. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Université de Montréal in 2024. Upon graduating, she aims to become a school psychologist working with children, adolescents and parents in both clinical and school contexts.

Maya brings experience working with children, adolescents and parents within youth protection, supporting those with trauma, behavioral, socioemotional, interpersonal, and academic difficulties. Her background also includes undergraduate internships in assessments, more specifically with children with ASD and intellectual disability. Maya is committed to conducting inclusive psychoeducational assessments that center the child’s needs throughout the process.
