Julia Gerbasi

Julia is licensed in Quebec as a Psychotherapist and Guidance Counsellor. She completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in 2021, simultaneously to working in numerous school settings as a behaviour technician, with neurodiverse youth (ADHD, ASD). Her BSc in Honour’s Psychology was completed at Concordia University in 2018.

Drawing from cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused therapeutic approaches, Julia tailors her guidance based on your unique needs. Despite her expertise, she believes that you are the expert of your life trajectory, past, and present. Her aim is to support your healing process by creating a collaborative, affirming, authentic space, in order for you to assert your strengths and promote your own growth.

Julia specializes, but is not limited to, working with individuals experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, sexual/affectional orientation-related concerns, and neurodiverse populations (ie. ADHD, ASD). She takes a particular interest in working with the LGBTQ+ population within their coming out process or facilitating self-discovery, understanding how queer people often grow up with a blank canvas on love and attachment. She also believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change.
